Pleasure 03:32
You look at me as I’m looking at you What we see is what we believe to be true I look at you as you’re looking at me We believe in the truth that will be This and that we’ve seen it through Peaceful wholeness, learned a thing or two With love and pristine clarity Turned on to what we’re meant to be Venus, Adonis ogle one another Whisper stories so we become lovers Pleasure All along your slippery walls Pleasure Awe and wonder at it all All these letters are friends and more Remember to make love not war Burning loins, smoke rises high We beautifully write our names in the sky Crossed the bridge, paid that toll Joie de vivre, forever grateful Pleasure All along your slippery walls Pleasure Awe and wonder at it all Pleasure All along your slippery walls Pleasure

I see you walking talking in this world exemplifying being who you wish to be I see you standing there you see so many to see I see perplexing clarity I am sad that this has even come to be it is bad i know its not hard to see Day I met you you were innocently your own words "under the shade of a tree having coffee" "under an olive tree at a cafe" I sought your time and later luckily I met your way I love your kisses I love your I love yous I'd love to become your perfect guy You're the only I'd seek affairs with and you're already my lovely wife I feel blessed even so that state of mind You have a lot to give but it's not for me to claim mine when my life becomes like clean running water perhaps I will make an ocean I see you walking talking in this world exemplifying being who you wish to be I know never any shoulda coulda wouldas gonna get me to the place I need to be I love your boldness I love your soft breezes your beautiful you blow my mind I'll tell you once I'll say it forever I'm gonna love you for all of time I am blessed we will be with grace in time you have a lot to give and it sure does feel so fine with our love like clean running water perhaps we will make an ocean

Let Her Be 03:54
Rated R movie Teens & beer Common sense was running tardy Libido preying Out of control At an unsupervised party Friend becomes prey In a dark hallway Attempts to make it feel better All the way down On the bathroom floor Fail to listen to her Years go by Fully realize Awkwardly apologize Mind the alarm Do more good than harm Here in college Going to be a big star But do you have procedural knowledge? Will you cross that line Will you go too far Drug, inebriate, force, or coerce her? All the way down To the frat house floor You know you know better Let her be Let her be free Let her be Let her be free Let her be free Let her be Let her be Can you imagine Being treated that way Your sister, mother, future daughter? Now prepared Full consent It’s only hot when the feeling’s shared Let her be Let her be free Let her be Let her be free Let her be free Let her be Let her be free Let her be Let her be free Let her be free Let her be

Our dreams no longer collect dust The more you love the more you can be loved Those around me I love joyfully happy and secure Splashing and laughing We are with what our hearts desire We stand with great love And what is right for all Keep your hearts in the right place And want none of the type of wealth in a Trump boast Be thankful for what you have And you have it all The beauty of the world has begun again

about

Even while the new set of songs on My Brother’s Equations was completed during the uncertainty of a global pandemic and turmoil of social and political change, the overarching lyrical theme on the record is that of optimism. Mistakes, challenges, and painful experiences are acknowledged and cared for with words of encouragement to overcome, do your best, and live in gratitude with a sense of Joie de vivre. The hope is that listeners will take away a feeling of positivity coupled with an awareness that intentions matter and there is much to be thankful for.

The songs on the new record were written in and around central California near the rural countryside and foothills of Prather, in the urban neighborhoods of Fresno, and at the quiet coastal city of Cambria.

Produced by Michael Faeth, they were recorded in a mix of home and professional studios located in the USA in Prather, Fresno, and Los Angeles, CA, and in Kyiv, Ukraine. The final mastering was done by renowned mastering engineer Gene Grimaldi (Sting, Lady Gaga, Johnny Cash) at Oasis Mastering in Burbank, CA.

The songs are ordered in a classic album structure of Side A and Side B. On each side the format is mirrored with the first three songs being lyrical, the fourth being an ambient and meditative instrumental, and the fifth track being composed with exuberant and rhythmic drums only.
